Check the torsion spring over the door. More likely than not, Lurver one of them is broken. You will see a separation in the broken spring. Registered User This is not a DIY job. There is a lot of tension in them, & it is easy to Joined: Thursday, 22nd of April 2010, 23:33:02 get hurt. If you are going to have one replaced, check the price Posts: 592 difference to have the other one done at the same time. Chances are that Viewed 5031 times the other one isn't far behind. You will double ur parts bill, but the
labor will be the same price as replacing one.
If ur car is stuck in the garage, you can get it out with the help of a
friend. One of you push the button on the opener while the other one
lifts the door. It is kind of heavy, but you still have one spring
helping you. Hope this helps.
